Hillside Avenue Traffic Circle

Adopted by the Mayor's Climate Youth Council

This traffic circle near Hastings High School was adopted by a Hillside Avenue neighbor in 2021, who then moved out of town. In 2023, two high school students, who are the founding members of the Hastings Mayor's Climate Youth Council, adopted this Spot. These photos illustrate how they are prepping the soil for a pollinator garden. 

The stage has been set, the island has been mulched, and the first round of plugs planted (Oct. 2023)
